At Ben Lomond Snow Sports School we have friendly instructors in both skiing and boarding. Whether you are trying skiing or boarding for the first time we are looking to make this the best possible experience for you.

Finding the Ski School

The Ski School is in the Ben Lomond Snow Sports building at the base of the lifts. Please advise us if you just want to book a lesson. This is a good option for people that have their own equipment.

Please be at the Ski School Meeting area at least 15 minutes before the start of your lesson.

The minimum age for a standard ski school group lesson is age 7 years for skiers and 9 years for snowboarders. For younger people we recommend a private lesson for them to learn in the best possible environment. Prior bookings for these ages are essential.

Instructors

Our instructors are all SIA approved and many have European, Canadian or American qualifications. We cater for all levels of ability from complete beginner to advanced.

Lesson times

Group lessons normally begin at 10:00am and 12:00 midday 7 days a week. Private lessons are at 12:30pm or by prior arrangement. Group lessons for intermediate skiers/boarders can be arranged, but once again we do need prior notification. Please contact us on 03 6390 6185. to discuss availability. Phone calls and bookings can be made up to 8:00pm each night.

Before booking any ski or snowboard lesson we need to know your ability level. Use our guide for ability levels to let us know your skill level.

Private Lessons

One on one instruction or as a small group are great for consolidating skills that you previously learnt, and also for learning new techniques, or just if you have limited time. If you would like to build on new skills learnt from a particular instructor this may be a good option for you.

It is advisable to book in advance even if it is just 24 hours before. There may be days when classes are fully booked or not available.
